I spent all of yesterday working on cosplay stuff! Which is saying something because I have been SO lazy lately. T.T Anyway, After 2 movies (Iron Man 2 and How to Train Your Dragon) I had this:

It’s the center panel of Rapunzel’s skirt that I started working on AGES ago (Like, back in January…) and I FINALLY got every last teensy tiny bit of the stencil ironed down. Here’s a close-up so you can see all the itty bitty bits I had to trace, cut, and stick down, one by one:

Sheesh. I would like to say that I’ll never do something like that again, but there is more stenciling to be done on the skirt and the bodice. =.=

After that, I painted it, which turned out like this:

I’m pretty happy with it! Keep in mind that I am not doing a screen-accurate version of Rapunzel, so don’t be too harsh about it not being identical to her on-screen appearance. :) Also, bad pic is bad- it looks much better in-person!

Also, I have been working on Thumbelina’s hair flowers, and after 3 attempts, I finally got the clay I’m using (Crayola Air-Dry Clay) to cooperate. I painted one with white acrylic paint (which pretty much just absorbed into the clay, which I thought was weird) and some coral-colored nail polish:

Cute, right? I think it’s adorable. :3 Not bad for my first real attempt at prop-making! Now, I have to make 3 or 4 more, or however many tries it takes for me to get ones I’m happy with!
